Today's Workout

20 minutes on the Elliptical
1 hour Pilates class

Ok... so, it doesn't really sound like much, but that pilates class KICKED MY BUTT! I wouldn't be surprised if I had a hard time getting out of bed in the morning... well, harder than normal... Training starts on Thursday... I'm excited and nervous at the same time... lets get this started already :) Oh... and I'm realizing that I'm gonna have to start eating better if this triathlon is actually gonna happen... this means planning ahead and actually buying food at the grocery store... this thing is gonna change my life

10 minutes - Treadmill (on level 5.4)
streches
100 crunches (50 front, 25 each side oblique)
3 reps of 15, 5lb bicep
3 reps of 15, 5lb tricep
3 reps of 15, 50 lb outer thigh
3 reps of 15, 60 lb inner thigh

Training starts one week from today. Will I be ready???

Lost All Momentum

Geez... the past few weeks have been crazy for me... because of this my training efforts have slowed to a stop... not good... anyway, I start training with TNT in a little over a week... I should probably get some running, cycling, and swimming in before then

Today's Workout

I went for a walk with a few spurts of running in the morning
about 30 minutes

Then I went to the gym in the evening and tried my luck on the treadmill.
30 minutes (about 1/2 walking, 1/2 running)
about 1.8 miles
Some stretching, sit-ups, free weights, and weight machines... nothing intense

I think I finally found a good pace for me on the treadmill. Its a bit slower than I'd like to be, but I haven't even started my real training regimen yet. Something to note: when I first started running, my shins felt really tight. I tried stretching them out, but it didn't really seem to go away. Anyone got any advice on this?

Maybe I'll feel motivated enough to ride my bike to work again tomorrow.

Back in LG

Well, I'm back in town and the sun is finally shining. Yesterday I rode my bike to work and it wasn't as hard as I remembered it from the last time I did it. I think it has more to do with the new bike than with my new found athletic prowess :) Anyway, today I am hoping to either go running or go to the gym for some treadmill action. I am hoping that the sun will give me some renewed energy. Look out New Year... here I come!
